ResourceOne is currently seeking an a seasoned/experienced Commercial Insurance Risk Manager to manage its commercial insurance needs. The ideal candidate should be able to identify potential threats and create plans to prevent and mitigate problems. Ultimately, this role is responsible in ensuring that our company maintains its reputation and profitability by controlling risk. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting multiple companies throughout the continental United States.
  • Handles workers' compensation claims and audit processes
  • Maintaining records of insurance policies and claims
  • Reviewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals
  • Building risk awareness among staff by providing support and training within the company
  • Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur
  • Performing a risk assessment: Analyzing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company
  • Performing a risk evaluation: Evaluating the company's previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements
  • Establishing the level of risk, the companies are willing to take
  • Check accuracy of insurance policies, prepare insurance coverage summaries
  • Coordinate audits of insurance programs
  • Keep accurate records of risk management expenses, including loss costs
  • A proactive assessment and prioritization of risks and exposures
  • An ongoing process to implement best practices in risk management to help prevent losses in the first place
  • To buy the right type and amount of insurance for their needs at a competitive price
  • To regularly review their insurance and risk management programs as things change in their operation or in the insurance industry
  • Assist in the development of and maintain communication tools for senior management and operating personnel describing risk management policies and programs.
  • Provide expertise in policy and coverage interpretation to operating company personnel

 Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • CPCU License is a plus
  • Success driven individual who has demonstrated 10 plus years of success in a commercial insurance role
  • Ability to analyze variables, such as type & amount of coverage, loss control, and loss experience
  • At least 5 years' experience with workers' compensation claims and audit processes
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance coverage & contracts
  • Safety Experience is a Plus but not required
  • Ability to interact successfully with brokers to build & maintain good business relationships.

 Education or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' experience

                    Or

8-10 Years Relative Experience

 

Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
