We are seeking a Senior Kronos Developer to provide technical development services throughout the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design specification, code development, unit, integration, and acceptance testing and implementation support. The products produced by the Senior Developer broadly apply to application customizations and enhancements, integration and interfaces, conversions, reporting and business/technical automated workflows. Possesses a functional business process knowledge in one or more areas of Human Resources and Payroll. Works with a solid knowledge of IT architectures including cloud technologies, applications, database, networking, and security.


This person is responsible for providing ongoing technical support of the Kronos application, as well as, design, document and implement various data flow processes and solutions along with troubleshooting. This person handles communication for change management, ongoing maintenance; coordinates between clients and internal IT support to ensure compliance; develop guidelines, checklists, procedures, and training documentation as required; and actively communicates with internal team members, management, end users to promote sound integration and related system improvements. Participation in system design and quality assurance activities.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to analyze current business processes and create an equivalent process to help improve business efficiency and reduce internal costs using Kronos Workforce Central v6.3.x or v7.
  • Configure the Kronos application to support company goals, standards, and policies.
  • Configure and support of Workforce Timekeeper, Workforce Integration Manager, Workforce Device Manager, NGUI Interface, and Intouch Clocks.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance on the use of the Kronos application.
  • Work with other internal cross-functional application developers to design requirements for software upgrades and interfaces between Kronos and other applications.
  • Create and troubleshoot hyper-find queries, genies and reports.
  • Train additional SMEs for timekeeping and scheduling modules as directed by management to support company s long-term growth strategies.
  • Support testing activities.
  • Understand and document business/functional needs as pertained to time entry, scheduling etc...
  • Conduct end-user training.
  • Engage with business process owners to determine necessary Kronos module implementations.
  • Coordinate tasks related to implementation of Kronos system and modules.
  • Kronos application development and module configuration activities
  • Installation of Kronos hardware, software, and time clocks for all locations
  • Recognize system problems and repair hardware and software as appropriate.

Skills and Abilities:

  • A minimum of 5 years of Kronos experience required.
  • Must be proficient with Kronos Workforce Timekeeper version 7.0, 6.3.x and have a working knowledge of such items as access profiles, display profiles, organizational mapping, pay rues, work rules and accrual modules.
  • Experience creating and supporting Workforce Integration Manager interfaces.
  • In depth knowledge of InTouch clock setup and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of Kronos architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of interaction between all Kronos modules.
  • Experience using SQL queries for report development a plus.
  • Experience and understanding of Oracle or Qgenda preferred
  • Working understanding of HIPAA regulations, a plus.
  • Kronos trainingcertifications are a plus.
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline, equivalent relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills to prepare various analyses and evaluation of Kronos modules and capabilities.
  • Must have solid understanding of business processes, especially those related to use of Kronos
